That’s my forearm. Looks weird in the picture? Anyway, peeps, looks like I must delay training once more.
Who: Me
What: Staph
Why: Training Jiu Jitsu in the Tropics?

Phi Phi Islands

Let’s see, where did I leave off? After working out a lot on Monday, Tuesday I was pooped. I took a morning class and then I vegged for the rest of the day. Wednesday (today) was off, too…but for good reason…we went on a Phi Phi Islands Tour!!!! It was SPECTACULAR. We stopped at Maya Bay (the beach featured in the movie “The Beach” with Leonardo DiCaprio), Loh Samah, Pileh Lagoon, Monkey Beach, and Khai Nok Island! My favorite part ...

Phuket: dead bodies and fighting training

This morning my sleep was quite fretful because not only was I emotionally riled up, but I kept on having visions of this dead Thai girl. You see, last night on the way back to Tiger, right at the intersection before you go down our street- was a lot of traffic. We were riding in a tuk-tuk, which is a car with no windows so we could see everything very clearly. As we made the turn, I saw a Thai ...

Patong + Kata Beach

Saturday night we went to Patong. VERY different from the quiet street I live. Flashy lights, clubs, bars, ladyboys, cigarettes, shots, loud music, people asking you every 10 seconds to see a PING PONG show!!! Please, people, you know what this means…Not into any of that stuff so much, but interesting to take it all in. My favorite part was walking past a “fish therapy” place and Tina wanted to try it! So we did 🙂 The fish are supposed ...

Day #3 @ Tiger Muay Thai & MMA

Today was another great day 🙂 After the vigor of the past two days, I prolly cut my exercise in half today. In the morning, I had a private session with a Muay Thai trainer who killed me with cardio. I haven’t been pushed that hard since…I don’t know how long it’s been. Fun times!

Then after that, I had to walk around the corner to the weight room, because I have not lifted in ages and wanted to touch the ...

Today's Menu: "MMA" + JJ + Muay Thai

Today was my second day of training, and it felt awesome.

First off, my elbow is actually feeling better today than it did yesterday! And my toe seemed pretty much, if not all the way healed. I have still been taping it, but I have been doing kicks, taking classes, and having to jog in classes no problem. YES!!!!! THANK YOU!!!

I woke up and decided to take a fasted “exploratory” walk. I didn’t get too see much, though, because there is ...

Hardcore, yo.

Okay, first day of training on the books. Yessss it feels so good.

After too little sleep (went to bed late because I went with peeps to the night market, then in the morning I woke up at 4:30 AM because my Australian friend was frikking drunk and stumbled into my room to chat because I accidently left the door unlocked! There went my sleep. I “tried” to sleep but no sleep was happening. At 6 AM, I got out of ...
