Squatting 5 x 245

After my long vacation, I’m easing back into my workouts.

Saturday I did squats, working toward my USPA powerlifting meet in less than 7 weeks!

Here was my squat portion of the workout:

warm up

8 x 64

6 x 95

5 x 135

5 x 185

 

working sets:

5 x 225

5 x 225

5 x 230

5 x 235

5 x 245

5 x 245

(then hack squats, etc…)

 

In the video is the final set of my 5 x 245 squats!

Squat PR of 320.67 lbs wooo!!! + 20 pullups weeeeeee!!!!

I hit the squat PR, then actually hit a deadlift PR (358.25 lbs)! What a great day, eh?! 😉 Then Dan had me do two sets of pull ups and two sets of rows.

One way to do intervals

 

In this video, we are doing deathly intervals on the bike. Warm up first, then hit eight 20 sec intervals. Hard-ass, kill-yourself intervals. Then take 1 min and 20 seconds to recover. Repeat. Intervals, yo. Do them. Great for fat loss when paired with responsible dieting.

Back & Biceps Today

Peep it, yo.

Had a great back n biceps workout, with weighted pull ups, weighted rack chins, single arm row, pull downs, seated row, dumbbell pullovers, rear fly machine, EZ bar curls, and seated dumbbell curls.

Today’s 15 WIDE GRIP PULLUPS!

Yay! I love da gym. One of my fav exercises is PULL-UPS!

Here I was, cranking out my SECOND  set of 15 consecutive WIDE GRIP PULL-UPS! woooooo!

This week I have been feeling super focused, feeling motivated to get strong and lean for my upcoming powerlifting and physique competitions! 😀
