As a former marathoner who has has gained some weight over the years, I came to Kristina looking for a high-intensity workout to get back in shape. Kristina was amazing – she took the time upfront to understand my goals, take a physical assessment, and then create a customized plan to get me going. I looked forward to each session because I knew Kristina would show me some new fun exercises that I could not find elsewhere. Each week we switched up using weights, the TRX, bosu balls, bands, medicine balls, and even a rubber tire! There was so much variety that I was consistently challenged and never got bored. And since we worked out in her own gym, I wasn’t surrounded by other people and didn’t need to share equipment (what always seems to happen at larger gyms).
Kristina also brings a wide range of experience and knowledge about injuries, nutrition, and mental health. She gave me some cooking tips (which you can check out on her website) and I was thrilled when she offered to review a food log I kept on the side. I couldn’t believe it! Kristina provided notes on some easy modifications I could make to my diet to speed up the weight loss. She absolutely went above and beyond what I had expected to get from working with a personal trainer. Kristina genuinely cares about all aspects of health and I would consider her a life coach. She always greets you with a smile and has a SUPER positive attitude, but she will still give you a healthy kick in the butt when you need it.
