Client Transformation: Kayla’s First Figure Competition!!

Bigggg shout out to my client Kayla, who has done an amazing job transforming her body. She recently competed in her first ever figure competition, and snagged 2nd place in novice! Go, Kayla!

We did the slow and steady route, and essentially did a 3 month PRE prep, and then did an official 3 month contest prep. Even with that much time, for the first time competitor, it still feels like time is never enough! 😉

She stayed consistent, though, and it really shows! Check out these numbers:

5/26/2015

Bodyfat: 22.8%

Fat mass: 32.8 lbs

Lean mass: 111.1 lbs

Weight: 144 lbs

 

11/4/2015

Bodyfat: 15.3%

Fat mass: 20.5 lbs

Lean mass: 113.4 lbs

Weight: 134 lbs

 

Total change in bodyfat: -7.5%

Total change in fat mass: -12.3 lbs

total change in lean mass: +2.3 lbs

total change in weight: -10 lbs

 

These numbers are exactly what we want to see– an increase in lean mass, a decrease in fat mass, and decrease in body fat percentage.

Often times in contest prep, the muscle gets wasted away with the fat mass, so there is a decrease in lean mass and a decrease in fat mass. However, Kayla was able to decrease her fat mass AND increase her lean mass- YES!!!
