Sticking to your training and nutrition plan really has very little to do with how you feel.
If you only train and manage your nutrition properly when you feel like it you can rest assured that you’re never going to get anywhere because the times when you feel like it are largely going to be outweighed by the number of times when there are probably many other things you feel like doing instead.
Rather than living based on how you feel, commitment is about CHOOSING to follow through on what you said you were going to do IN SPITE OF how you feel.
You have to DECIDE that, in the midst of whatever is going on in your life, you have a goal that you want to reach and you’re going to do the things required to achieve that goal. You don’t have to want to do it in the moment, but you’ll appreciate the results of having done it when it is complete.
This is just like going to work. You may not FEEL like going, but you go because you want what it provides you (money and a means to afford things you need). Sticking to a training and nutrition plan is the same. You may not FEEL like it, but if you want the results it provides you have to do it anyway.
Your long-term success has very little to do with feelings and everything to do with CHOICES.
