Hello folks!
I am super excited about my first powerlifting competition: United States Powerlifting Association (USPA) NORCAL Powerlifting Championship on Dec 15th, in Modesto.
I don’t know why, but I always like setting my eye on new ambitious challenges, and my newest challenge is to jump in to my first powerlifting meet, and not only compete, but win first place, and break all the state records for my division.
To this end, I am shifting my focus from bodybuilding style workouts to powerlifting style workouts. This involves reducing my training to 4 weights workouts a week focused around one lift- squat, bench press, deadlift, and overhead press. Working in the 1-5 rep range. I am reducing my diversity in workouts and frequency in workouts so that I can focus on this meet and breaking those records. It’s sad to cut out/down my workouts but I am making this competition a priority, so I have to focus on these lifts and these lifts alone, so I don’t tire myself out doing other stuff and am not able to make progress every single week.
Come watch me wear a singlet and high socks and look ridiculous if you want 😉
Love and heavy deadlifts,
Kristina
