Well…it’s actually an extravagant rice cooker.
Yes, it WAS absolutely necessary to spend $200 on a rice cooker.
My client was raving to me about it, saying Zojirushi is super top of the line… because I was telling him my woes about cooking rice on the stovetop… and he told me about his magical rice cooker. And I had to buy one. I did. So I looked at the website and selected the large 10 cup capacity rice cooker, cuz when I cooks me mah rice, I cooks a LOT of rice. (physique prep, baby! All about that #tupplife)
So got the thing, and so far have cooked brown rice, white rice, and mixed rice. Honestly, I can’t say that it has come out perfectly every time (human error? could be) but altogether the process of cooking large quantities of rice and the overall quality of the yield is FARRRRRRRR improved. I’m very glad I dropped the change on my large alien baby! He doesn’t cuddle me at night or make me protein shakes (sniffles) but he does make the house smell incredible when I am cooking my rice!
